Meet Our Team

Dr. Leonard was born and raised in Washington state. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University. He earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Washington State University. After graduating he moved to Utah to be closer to family. He is the father to two young boys. He also adopted a small mixed breed dog named Luna and a three-legged cat named Phoenix. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, hiking, snowboarding, and creating stained glass art.

Dr. Matthew Loock is dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care with a focus on compassion, communication, and clinical excellence. With years of experience in both general practice and emergency medicine, he enjoys helping families through everything from routine wellness visits to complex medical emergencies. His calm, thoughtful approach and commitment to educating pet owners allow clients to feel confident and supported during every stage of their pet’s care.

Dr. Loock earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical training at Washington State University. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, he studied Zoology and Chemistry at Weber State University. Throughout his career, he has developed a special interest in emergency and urgent care, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and critical care.

Having spent several years practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Loock has treated thousands of critically ill and injured pets. While he enjoys the fast-paced challenge of emergency cases, he is equally passionate about preventive medicine and helping pets live long, healthy lives through strong partnerships with their families. He believes that excellent veterinary care begins with listening, clear communication, and treating every patient as if they were his own.

Dr. Loock is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of veterinarians and enjoys sharing his knowledge with veterinary students and colleagues. He is committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Loock enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He loves fishing, boating, exploring Utah’s outdoors, beekeeping, and caring for his flock of chickens. These experiences reinforce his appreciation for the unique bond between people and animals and inspire the compassionate care he provides every day.

Dr. Loock is excited to be part of the Hippo Vet team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients while helping pets live healthier, happier lives.

Britni brings a strong background in veterinary medicine and leadership to her role as Hospital Director. With experience in both clinical operations and team development, she is passionate about creating a positive, fun environment for patients, clients, and staff alike. Britni is dedicated to supporting high-quality patient care, fostering a collaborative team culture, and delivering an exceptional experience for both pets and their families.
As part of her commitment to professional growth, Britni is currently pursuing her studies in Veterinary Practice Management, further strengthening her expertise in hospital operations, leadership, and business management within the veterinary field.

Outside of work, Britni enjoys spending time outdoors with her family riding dirt bikes, kayaking, paddle boarding, and simply getting out in nature. She and her partner, Aaron, are proud parents to two amazing children, Max and Marley. Together, they share their home with a lively animal family that includes a 9-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, an 8-month-old Mini Aussie/Border Collie mix, a Russian tortoise, and two leopard geckos.
Britni’s love for animals extends far beyond the workplace and serves as a constant source of inspiration in her dedication to veterinary medicine and the people who care for their pets.

Jaydee is a Veterinary Technician at Clinton Veterinary Hospital with experience in both emergency veterinary medicine and sterile processing. Her background in sterile processing has given her extensive knowledge of instrument sterilization and workflow efficiency, skills she now uses to help maintain the highest standards of patient care and surgical support at the hospital. She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to every pet she meets.

Outside of the clinic, Jaydee enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She is grateful to be part of the Clinton Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to caring for you and your pets.

Bryce is a Veterinary Technician at Clinton Veterinary Hospital who has been passionate about animal care from a young age. Growing up, he raised livestock, participated in 4-H, and bred rabbits for both show and pet homes, experiences that inspired his career in veterinary medicine. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Weber State University and enjoys using his education and hands-on experience to help pets live healthier, happier lives.

At home, Bryce’s favorite role is being a dog dad to his energetic Bull Terrier, Cleo. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with every pet and family who walks through the clinic’s doors and is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to each patient.

Aidan is a Veterinary Technician who is passionate about helping pets feel their best and ensuring they receive the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve. He especially enjoys supporting patients through surgery and takes pride in helping every procedure run safely and smoothly.

His love for animals began at an early age and was strengthened by watching veterinarians care for his own pets. Inspired by the difference they made, Aidan knew he wanted to pursue a career where he could provide that same level of care and comfort to other families and their beloved companions.

Outside of work, Aidan enjoys camping and baking, finding the perfect balance between outdoor adventures and time in the kitchen. At home, he shares his life with Brûlée, a rescued stray cat with a big personality who loves perching on people’s shoulders.

Savanna Ward has worked in veterinary medicine for the past five years, training on the job while turning her lifelong love of animals into a rewarding career. Growing up on her family’s farm inspired her passion for caring for animals, and today she enjoys helping pets feel better, supporting their families, and making a positive difference every day.

Her favorite areas of veterinary medicine include assisting with surgery, caring for sick and recovering patients, and educating pet owners about their pets’ health.

Outside of work, Savanna enjoys riding her horses, photography, hunting, fishing, camping with her family, and spending time in the mountains. At home, she has a full house of animals, including three horses, two dogs, a cat, a huarizo named Wilber, and a pet goat named Nibbles.
